Independent Armed Security Contractor
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly qualified and professional Independent Armed Security Contractors to join our Armed Contractor Division. Contractors will provide armed security services for specific clients and short-term assignments. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements and who meet the requirements set forth by Pennsylvania's Act 235.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate; varies by assignment ($25.00 to $35.00 per hour)
Location: 5-County area of Southeastern Pennsylvania
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visible, armed presence to deter and respond to security threats.
- Monitor premises and patrol assigned areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism.
- Enforce site-specific policies and procedures.
- Responds promptly to emergency situations and provides assistance as needed.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification (Lethal Weapons Training Program).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Graduate of a Municipal or State Police Academy, Federal Police Academy, or equivalent military training.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Concealed Carry Permit or HR 218.
- Own and maintain personal firearm.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation and communication devices (e.g., cell phone with email access).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Provide references from previous security of law enforcement roles
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Capability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Physically fit to perform duties that may require lifting or restraining individuals.
Additional Information:
- This position operates under a 1099 independent contractor agreement.
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
