Overnight Security Field Supervisor
Under general direction from the Operations Manager, Field Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates activities relating to the protection, safeguarding, and security of client assets. Performs all of the same functions as a front-line employee as well as the direct supervision of officers in the field. This classification represents the first line of supervision at CPSG. In the absence of, or at the direction of, an Operations Manager responds to and effectively resolves all field situations.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Location: Fort Washington, PA
Schedule:
11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Must be able to work shifts with a potential fluctuating schedule. May require to be on “on-call” status.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be a Cardinal Point Ambassador: Be on time. Look sharp in proper uniform. Be engaged. Be consistent
- Serves as the lead for day-to-day operations, administration, supervision, coaching, discipline, and motivation of security officers
- Consistently demonstrate an approach and behavior that reflects positivity, the core values and mission of transformational leadership, and the core company values (Being on time, Dressed Properly, Engaged and Consistent)
- Provide supportive positive leadership to officers in the field.
- Teach, train, and coach officers in the field to ensure they understand all post orders
- Conduct and properly document the assigned officer field inspections
- Monitors daily missed check-ins to ensure all client posts are covered
- Expected to take action to ensure all client posts are covered by a qualified officer.
- Required to perform all responsibilities and functions of an unarmed officer as needed. (Must be willing to stand posts)
- Escalate and communicate emergencies and other priority events requiring leadership awareness and engagement
- Ensure the communication of an adequate daily staff briefing concerning pertinent information regarding previous day activities, upcoming high-impact events, and other events that may affect the delivery of services or property environment.
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of all on-site staff, serves as the training officer to security team members, planning and directs work.
- Promotes good client relations internally and externally and in daily interactions with outside vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Work environment
Work is performed in widely diverse environments depending on situational demands. Work involves operation of a personal computer and equipment normally found in an office, and occasionally lifting and moving objects up to fifty pounds. Work also involves frequent reaching, standing, walking, and operating a vehicle. Work is required beyond normal working hours in inclement weather and uncomfortable situations. The Supervisor may be required to perform any or all the following essential functions at any time, with or without notice:
- Lifting heavy objects (immobile client or fellow officer, debris, etc.)
- Running, jumping and/or climbing
- Reacting quickly
- Performing CPR or other life-saving techniques
- Breaking up physical altercations
- Using impact weapons
Conduct
Act as role model, leads by example, encourages teamwork and cooperation, remains calm, cool and collected under any circumstance, handle conflict and resolve issues with tact and diplomacy, use caution and discretion when faced with a crisis situation, avoid physical confrontation at all times, seek assistance from management and/or law enforcement personnel, use your best judgment and ensure the staff is trained, re-trained and follows post orders and SOP at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years of specialized technical experience related to the duties above, or Five (5) years Law Enforcement Experience with at least two (2) years in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Valid driver’s license.
